The sighting quickly sparked fresh speculation about the golf legend’s condition, especially after he largely disappeared from public view following his DUI arrest and rollover crash earlier this spring. The 15-time major champion has spent more than a month away from the spotlight, choosing privacy over public appearances while dealing with one of the most difficult stretches of his life. His absence from major golf events, including this week’s PGA Championship, has kept attention fixed on every development tied to his health and legal situation. Now, with his Gulfstream reportedly back on American soil, the conversation has shifted from where Woods has been to whether he is finally beginning the next stage of recovery.

Tiger Woods private jet lands in Florida after Zurich rehab

<img decoding="async" alt="Tiger Woods" msid="131079946" width="" title="Tiger Woods. Image via: Getty Images

According to reports including TMZ, Tiger Woods’ 2008 Gulfstream G550 departed Zurich on Wednesday afternoon before eventually landing at Palm Beach International Airport in Florida. The ultra-long-range jet, valued at roughly $50 million, had flown to Switzerland earlier in the week, adding more weight to the belief that Woods was returning after completing part of his rehabilitation treatment. The rehab stay followed Woods’ late-March arrest in Jupiter Island, Florida, after his Land Rover SUV flipped during a crash. Authorities later charged him with driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a lawful test, though Woods pleaded not guilty. Investigators also recovered prescription pills identified as hydrocodone from his pocket at the scene. Before leaving the country, Woods addressed the situation publicly, writing, “I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.”Court documents later revealed that his legal team requested permission for treatment overseas because privacy concerns made rehab in the United States difficult.

What happened to Tiger Woods?

The latest development arrives while Woods continues facing legal and personal scrutiny. Florida prosecutors were recently granted access to his prescription medication records, which could become a key part of the ongoing case connected to the crash.Woods has maintained that he did not consume drugs or alcohol before the accident and reportedly passed a breathalyzer test. He also told officers he had been distracted by his phone and radio moments before the rollover crash. The situation has also drawn attention to his relationship with Vanessa Tump, with reports suggesting the couple remained in contact throughout his treatment process. Even so, Woods’ future remains uncertain. For now, the return of his jet to Florida appears to signal that after 40 days away from the public eye, one of golf’s biggest figures is finally back home.

Tiger Woods.
