Her 65-year-old husband was also seriously injured.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Authorities said the reasons for the animals\u2019 aggressive behaviour remain unclear. The couple were not accompanied by a dog at the time, police said.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Cows sometimes react to the approach of dogs \u2013 particularly when they want to protect their calves \u2013 by attacking the animal.
