Team Canada’s star-studded roster hits the ice for a second day in a row, this time facing off against Switzerland in preliminary round play at Milan Cortina 2026<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fans of both countries are hoping the luck is in their favor on this Friday, Feb. 13, with puck drop set for 3:10 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n

Canada started their journey for Olympic gold in the preliminary round with a comfortable 5-0 win over Czechia on Thursday. It didn’t take long for 19-year old Macklin Celebrini (SJS) to show up on the scoresheet, tallying Canada’s first goal in his Olympic debut. Connor McDavid led the way with 3 assists.<\/p>\n

Goaltender Jordan Binnington (STL) made 26 saves for the shutout.<\/p>\n

The Swiss opened Olympic play with a shutout of their own on Thursday, taking a dominant win over France 4-0. New Jersey Devils’ Timo Meier contributed of those two goals with veteran goaltender Leonardo Genoni stopping 27.<\/p>\n
