(WITN) &#8211; Voters across New Bern went to the polls today to elect local leaders.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Municipal elections closed at 7:30 p.m. today.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Residents voted for the next mayor, and all six of the city\u2019s alderman seats are on the ballot.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">New Bern residents also voted on a city bond referendum for proposed city upgrades.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Early voting was available at the Stanley White Recreation Center ahead of Election Day, which wrapped up on Saturday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">One race many are watching is the alderman seat for Ward 6, which has been vacant since July 2024.
