The Castle man, who started the day five back, had an outside chance of a first victory on the Alps Tour circuit, but needed to start fast and it didn\u2019t materialise. Two bogeys on the front side saw him reach the turn at -2 overall, but birdies on 11, 13, 16 and 17 turned his fortunes around and the result was enough to hold onto third place in the Alps Tour\u2019s Order of Merit.<\/p>\n
With a tightly packed leaderboard at the top and everything still to play for, experience ultimately made the difference. Starting the day two shots off the lead and nearly 40 minutes ahead of the final group, Anthony Grenier produced the perfect final round to claim the title.<\/p>\n
The 50-year-old Frenchman, who joined the\u00a0Legends Tour\u00a0earlier this season, carded a flawless\u00a066 (-6)\u00a0to secure victory. It marks his second Alps Tour title \u2014 remarkably,\u00a018 years after his first win, which came at the\u00a02008 Lyoness Open in Austria.<\/p>\n
Fellow Frenchman\u00a0Nathan Legendre\u00a0tried to chase him down but eventually finished alone in second place, two shots back. Another French player completed the podium, with\u00a0Louis Bont\u00e9\u00a0sharing third place alongside Spain\u2019s\u00a0Jorge Maicas.<\/p>\n
