{"id":7231,"date":"2026-02-15T07:29:16","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T07:29:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/7231\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T07:29:16","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T07:29:16","slug":"world-class-sarah-bern-signs-bears-extension","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/7231\/","title":{"rendered":"World class Sarah Bern signs Bears extension"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Red Roses star Sarah Bern, one of the most devastating players in world rugby, has committed her future to the club by signing a contract extension with the Bears.<\/p>\n<p>The 27-year-old, who joined the club in 2018, has earned 66 caps for her country and remains the leading tighthead prop in the women\u2019s game.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"819\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Bears_Women_CallUp_Bern_Rolloutxpost-819x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-47303\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Head Coach, Dave Ward, said:\u00a0\u201cSarah is playing the best rugby of her career and the fact that she will continue to do this in a Bears shirt is extremely exciting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHer line breaks and running ability has been there for all to see but to be part of a scrum that achieved a league record 41 penalties is testament to her set piece and her endeavour to become the complete player.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHer form heading into this year\u2019s Rugby World Cup will excite both England and Bears fans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bern said: \u201cI\u2019m really happy to be staying at Bears.
