{"id":74076,"date":"2026-05-29T09:02:10","date_gmt":"2026-05-29T09:02:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/74076\/"},"modified":"2026-05-29T09:02:10","modified_gmt":"2026-05-29T09:02:10","slug":"korean-air-celebrates-50-years-of-seoul-zurich-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/74076\/","title":{"rendered":"Korean Air celebrates 50 years of Seoul-Zurich service"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Korean Air is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its Seoul-Zurich route, marking five decades of connectivity, partnership and cultural exchange between Korea and Switzerland.<\/p>\n<p>To commemorate the milestone, Korean Air hosted a reception at the Widder Hotel in Zurich on May 27, welcoming approximately 70 guests, including Woosik Shin, Charg\u00e9 d\u2019affaires of the Republic of Korea to Switzerland; Stefan Gross, Chief Commercial Officer of Zurich Airport; and other key partners and members of the Swiss-Korean community.<\/p>\n<p>Korean Air was represented by Jungho Choi, Executive Vice President and Head of Sales; Sukwoo Lee, Managing Vice President of Passenger Sales; and Euisuk Byun, Regional Manager of Switzerland.<\/p>\n<p>Korean Air launched its inaugural flight to Zurich on July 14, 1976, establishing the first direct air link between Korea and Switzerland.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past 50 years, the route has helped strengthen bilateral ties, supporting business, tourism and cultural exchange between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>The airline continues to enhance connectivity through Zurich, one of its key European gateways.
