This announcement was made by outgoing Italian Ambassador to Pakistan, Marilina Armellin, during a ceremony celebrating Italy\u2019s National Day and Republic Day in Islamabad. She also mentioned that Italy has granted over 3,200 visas to Pakistani students for the 2025-26 academic session, indicating strengthening collaboration between the two nations.<\/p>\n
Pakistan and Italy already enjoy extensive relations spanning trade, cultural exchanges, science and technology, and defense cooperation, with numerous agreements and memoranda of understanding established across various sectors. Collaborative efforts between universities and think tanks continue to flourish under existing frameworks.<\/p>\n
Regarding labor mobility and migration, Pakistan\u2019s embassy in Rome has emphasized opportunities for Pakistani workers, including a reported quota of 10,500 jobs in Italy.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, on the occasion of Republic Day, President Asif Ali Zardari extended his greetings to Italian President Sergio Mattarella and the people of Italy. In his message, the president highlighted Pakistan\u2019s deep-rooted friendship with Italy, built on mutual trust, cooperation, and shared goals for peace and development.<\/p>\n
He expressed optimism that bilateral ties will further deepen and expand in the years ahead.
