But one analyst doesn\u2019t expect the event to give the stock a lift.<\/p>\n<p>David Vogt of UBS issued his note Wednesday on Apple\u2019s Worldwide Developers Conference, which begins Monday at the company\u2019s Silicon Valley headquarters.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.barrons.com\/articles\/apple-stock-wwdc-0cdee995\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nate Wolf for Barron\u2019s<\/a>:<br \/>\u200e<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cShareholders expect Apple to release new artificial-intelligence features after years of lagging behind its rivals on AI. Whether those features drive demand is another question.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe don\u2019t expect the event to be a positive catalyst for the shares,\u201d he wrote in a research note.<\/p>\n<p>UBS kept its estimates for iPhone revenue and unit sales \u2014 the company\u2019s largest segment \u2014 unchanged. Apple is enjoying solid demand, the firm said, but there is still lingering uncertainty about its AI strategy.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u200e<br \/>MacDailyNews Take: UBS analyst David Vogt reiterated his \u201cNeutral\u201d (hold) rating and $296 price target on Apple stock, $13 below the current price, even after he managed to talk it down over $5 today.
