Another season of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League began this past Thursday but it\u2019s this Thursday that will mark the start to the 2026 season for both the Geneva Red Wings and Newark Pilots.<\/p>\n
Geneva, which finished 7-35-2 overall in 2025, will open up this newest season on the road at the Auburn Doubledays. The two sides will square off on Thursday, June 4 at 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
Newark comes off a 17-24-3 overall showing in 2025. The Pilots will open up their new year at home with a contest against the Jamestown Tarp Skunks on Thursday, June 4 at Colburn Park. First pitch is slated for 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
GENEVA RED WINGS<\/p>\n
Kyle French will be the head coach for Red Wings this season with Bill Coutts and Grant Ingram as his assistants.<\/p>\n
Locally, Geneva graduate Tyler Arno, who is a pitcher for SUNY Brockport, will be on the roster this year. Arno will be one of 10 pitchers on the roster.<\/p>\n
Arno is not the only former player from the Finger Lakes East league to be on the Red Wings this season. He is joined by utility player Casey Burcroff from Waterloo.<\/p>\n
Burcroff is a part of the team\u2019s 38-man roster and currently plays collegiately at Holy Family University.<\/p>\n
Arno is also not the only player from Brockport on the squad as college teammate Quinn Mahoney, an outfielder, is with the Red Wings this summer.<\/p>\n
NEWARK PILOTS<\/p>\n
Johnny T. Brown will be the head coach for the Pilots this summer while Johnny T. Brown III will be the assistant coach.<\/p>\n
There are 33 players on the Newark roster, including infielder Aidan Davenport, who currently plays for Hobart College.<\/p>\n
Pitcher Liam Eshelman from Keuka College will also be with the Pilots this summer.<\/p>\n
