Iran and the US will start a new round of negotiations on Friday in Switzerland<\/a> to reach a final agreement after the official start of an interim agreement, Iran’s foreign minister said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Araqchi also warned that any Israeli attack on Lebanon<\/a> or continued presence on Lebanese territory from now on constituted a violation of the interim agreement with the United States.<\/p>\n

“In our view, the two parties to this memorandum are the US and Israel on one side, and Iran and Hezbollah<\/a> on the other,” he said.<\/p>\n

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Takht-Ravanchi says nuclear issues will be discussed in the next phase of talks, including enrichment, stockpiling, and Iran’s nuclear needs, according to Iran’s Student News Network.<\/p>\n

However, CIA Director John Ratcliffe recently warned senior American officials that US intelligence agencies had gathered evidence that raises doubts<\/a> about Iran\u2019s willingness to make concessions regarding its nuclear program, according to an Axios report citing three sources familiar with the matter<\/p>\n

Two other issues that Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu used to justify the war – ending Iran’s support for regional armed proxies and curbing its missile program – are not thought to be on the agenda for these negotiations.<\/p>\n

The deal is the most significant step yet to resolve the conflict, which has killed at least 7,000 people, mostly in Iran and Lebanon, and upended global energy<\/a> markets.<\/p>\n
