As of now, the Vice President is not departing tonight,&#8221; it added.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The announcement comes hours after Iran reportedly canceled its own delegation\u2019s flight, citing continued attacks by Israel on Hezbollah in Lebanon, according to an early Friday morning Axios report, citing a US official.<\/p>\n<p>Late Thursday evening, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/international\/article-899909\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Hezbollah<\/a>-affiliated news outlet Al Mayadeen, citing a source familiar with the matter reported that Iran warned US mediators that the issue of Lebanon is central to its ability to hold, continue, or halt negotiations.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Any Israeli attack more than 10 kilometers deep in Lebanon would constitute \u201ca clear violation of the first article in the Memorandum of Understanding,\u201d Al Mayadeen\u00a0reported.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this week, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/middle-east\/iran-news\/article-899860\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">US President Donald Trump<\/a> announced that the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which institutes a ceasefire between the US and Iran, would be signed in Switzerland on Friday, June 19.<\/p>\n<p>Later, however, it was revealed that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/middle-east\/iran-news\/article-899761\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">deal had already been signed<\/a> by Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in France on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">US Vice President JD Vance and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf digitally signed the agreement, with Trump witnessing the signing, according to a US official.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Friday\u2019s planned meeting was meant to kickstart negotiations, primarily nuclear-related, as outlined in the MoU.
