However, the board has reportedly not yet decided how to respond, with Warner Bros still in an acquisition agreement with Netflix (<a data-i13n=\"cpos:7;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/uk.finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/NFLX\" data-ylk=\"slk:NFLX;cpos:7;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NFLX<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Warner Bros had not responded to <a data-i13n=\"cpos:8;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/uk.finance.yahoo.com\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:Yahoo Finance UK&#039;s;cpos:8;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Yahoo Finance UK&#8217;s<\/a> request for comment at the time of writing. Shares in Warner Bros were little changed in extended trading on Monday morning, with Paramount and Netflix also hovering just above the flatline.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">In Asia, Chinese tech stocks were in the spotlight on Monday, after it was reported that the Pentagon had briefly added some key names to a list of companies it claimed to be aiding the military.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Bloomberg reported on Monday that Alibaba (<a data-i13n=\"cpos:11;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/uk.finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/9988.HK\" data-ylk=\"slk:9988.HK;cpos:11;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">9988.HK<\/a>, <a data-i13n=\"cpos:12;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/uk.finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/BABA\" data-ylk=\"slk:BABA;cpos:12;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">BABA<\/a>), BYD (<a data-i13n=\"cpos:13;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/uk.finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/1211.HK\" data-ylk=\"slk:1211.HK;cpos:13;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">1211.HK<\/a>) and Baidu (<a data-i13n=\"cpos:14;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/uk.finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/9888.HK\" data-ylk=\"slk:9888.HK;cpos:14;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">9888.HK<\/a>) had appeared on the updated <a data-i13n=\"cpos:15;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/assets.bwbx.io\/documents\/users\/iqjWHBFdfxIU\/r0YBtFqGg0fg\/v0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Pentagon list;cpos:15;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Pentagon list<\/a> on the US Federal Register. Alibaba, BYD and Baidu had not responded to <a data-i13n=\"cpos:17;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/uk.finance.yahoo.com\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:Yahoo Finance UK&#039;s;cpos:17;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Yahoo Finance UK&#8217;s<\/a> request for comment at the time of writing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">In the UK, NatWest (<a data-i13n=\"cpos:19;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/uk.finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/NWG.L\" data-ylk=\"slk:NWG.L;cpos:19;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NWG.L<\/a>) was the biggest gainer on the FTSE 100 (<a data-i13n=\"cpos:20;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/uk.finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/%5EFTSE\" data-ylk=\"slk:^FTSE;cpos:20;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">^FTSE<\/a>), with shares up 3.7% at the time of writing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">The bank posted a 24% jump in annual operating profit, in <a data-i13n=\"cpos:21;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/uk.finance.yahoo.com\/news\/natwest-profits-results-beats-estimates-fourth-quarter-074011468.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:results;cpos:21;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">results<\/a> released on Friday. Operating profit before tax for the year came in at \u00a37.71bn, topping expectations of \u00a37.49bn, according to consensus estimates provided by the bank.
