WANA (Jun 21) \u2013 The diplomatic delegations of Iran and Switzerland held talks on Sunday morning on the sidelines of the Tehran-Washington negotiations at the B\u00fcrgenstock Hotel in Switzerland.<\/p>\n

The foreign ministers of Iran and Switzerland met at the venue hosting the Iran-U.S. talks. Switzerland, which has previously hosted several rounds of Iranian nuclear negotiations, is once again serving as the venue for these discussions, being held under Pakistan\u2019s mediation and with Qatar\u2019s support.<\/p>\n

Al Arabiya also reported, without providing further details, that the Iranian diplomatic delegation, which traveled to Switzerland for talks with U.S. representatives and mediating countries, met with the Swiss delegation at the B\u00fcrgenstock Hotel.<\/p>\n

The negotiations come after the memorandum of understanding signed by the presidents of Iran and the United States on June 18, focusing on a ceasefire in Lebanon and the implementation of mutual commitments.<\/p>\n

The Iranian negotiating team is headed by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. The delegation also includes Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Ali Bagheri, Deputy for International Affairs at the Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council, Central Bank Governor Abdolnasser Hemmati, Deputy Oil Minister and National Iranian Oil Company CEO Hamid Bovard, as well as Deputy Foreign Ministers Kazem Gharibabadi and Esmaeil Baghaei.<\/p>\n

Before departing for Switzerland, Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said the visit was intended to follow up on the implementation of the other side\u2019s commitments and should not be viewed as the beginning of negotiations aimed at reaching a final agreement. He added that talks on a final agreement would begin only after other provisions of the memorandum are implemented.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, U.S. Vice President JD Vance traveled to Switzerland in the early hours of Sunday.
