{"id":89310,"date":"2026-06-22T00:39:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-22T00:39:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/89310\/"},"modified":"2026-06-22T00:39:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-22T00:39:09","slug":"daystar-installs-6-8mw-solar-across-nestle-west-africa-plant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/89310\/","title":{"rendered":"Daystar Installs 6.8MW Solar Across Nestl\u00e9 West Africa Plant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Daystar Power Group says it has installed 6.884 megawatts of solar power capacity across four Nestl\u00e9 manufacturing facilities in West Africa, covering sites in C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, Ghana and Senegal.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, noting that the installations are operational at two facilities in Abidjan, C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, one in Tema, Ghana, and another in Dakar, Senegal.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the statement, the projects form part of an ongoing energy partnership between Daystar Power Group and Nestl\u00e9, bringing the total installed solar capacity across the four facilities to nearly seven megawatts.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Chief Executive Officer of Daystar Power Group, Yischai Beinisch, said the installations reflected the company\u2019s growing relationship with the food and beverage manufacturer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cNearly 7 megawatts across four Nestl\u00e9 facilities is a number we are proud of,\u201d Beinisch said. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company stated that 3,447 kilowatts peak of solar capacity had been deployed across two facilities in Abidjan, while a 2,547kWp system was installed at Nestl\u00e9\u2019s factory in Tema. It added that an 890kWp installation was operating at the company\u2019s facility in Dakar.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Daystar Power said the systems were designed to support energy resilience and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, while aligning with Nestl\u00e9\u2019s sustainability objectives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Commenting on the development, the Chief Executive Officer of the Nestl\u00e9 Central and West Africa Region, Samer Chedid, said the investment was part of the company\u2019s sustainability strategy.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThis investment reflects our commitment to building a business that not only grows but does so responsibly.
