The brand-new twinjet with its Swiss registration HB-IFA had taken off from Airbus Toulouse in the early afternoon and touched down at its new home base at 15:25 to the warmest of welcomes from numerous aviation fans. The Airbus A350 is the world\u2019s most advanced widebody aircraft, and its addition to the SWISS fleet opens a new business and operating era. With its completely new \u2018SWISS Senses\u2019 cabin, the A350 offers a travel experience that raises comfort, design and technology to new heights. The new SWISS Senses concept reflects SWISS\u2019s aspirations to provide a truly premium air travel product that is fit for today: individual, relaxing, sophisticated, and with a clear and consistent commitment to Swiss quality and hospitality.<\/p>\n<p>SWISS\u2019s first Airbus A350 landed at its new Zurich home this afternoon (Thursday 9 October) to mark a further milestone for the Swiss-based airline. Three SWISS pilots flew the brand-new long-haul twinjet to Switzerland from Airbus\u2019s Toulouse factory. The aircraft touched down at 15:25, and docked shortly after for the first time at its new home base. The new addition to the SWISS fleet bears a special color scheme: its <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.swiss.com\/en\/swiss-to-fly-freddie-mercury-helvetia-and-a-marmot-all-over-the-world\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">unique \u2018Wanderlust\u2019 livery<\/a>, which is a striking and lively homage to Switzerland in all its finery and diversity. A large number of employees and aviation fans viewed the historic arrival of this first SWISS Airbus A350 from the airport\u2019s observation deck.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A new SWISS era<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday is a great day for us,\u201d says SWISS CEO Jens Fehlinger. \u201cWith our Airbus A350, we\u2019re transporting our customers into a new era of long-haul air travel.
