(WITN) &#8211; A man has been arrested after the Craven County School system reported indecent liberties with a child to the New Bern Police Department. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Police say the alleged crimes occurred this year between the months of July and September at a home in the 100 block of Evans Mill Road in New Bern. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">After an investigation, 41-year-old Kevin Tyler was arrested on two counts of indecent liberties with a child and one count of false imprisonment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Warrants obtained by WITN show Tyler had indecent liberties with an 8-year-old and an 11-year-old girl.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Tyler is currently being held at the Craven County Jail with no bond, pending his first appearance in District Court on Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">As the investigation continues, New Bern police ask anyone who may have been a victim of similar crimes involving this suspect or anyone else to come forward by contacting the New Bern Police Department at (252) 672-4200.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2025 WITN.
