ZURICH, June 30 (Reuters) – Personal wealth in 2025 grew at its fastest pace in \u200cyears, creating nearly one million new U.S. \u200cdollar millionaires worldwide, Swiss bank UBS said in its \u200bannual Global Wealth Report published on Tuesday. <\/p>\n

\u2022 Total personal wealth globally rose by 10.8% last year, up from 4.6% in 2024 \u200cand 4.2% in \u20602023, as strong financial markets boosted growth, UBS found. <\/p>\n
\u2022 There were “more millionaires \u2060than ever, everywhere” in 2025, the bank said. The United States, where over 440,000 people became \u200bnew U.S. \u200bdollar millionaires, accounted \u200bfor almost half of \u200cthis growth. <\/p>\n
\u2022 Wealth in U.S. dollar terms grew disproportionately quickly in Europe, largely due to last year’s depreciation of the dollar compared to the euro, UBS found. <\/p>\n
\u2022 While average wealth rose, \u200cinequality has deepened since 2020, \u200bUBS said. Median wealth, \u200bwhich better reflects \u200bthe middle of the scale, declined \u200cin most countries, highlighting a \u200bgrowing divide \u200bbetween the wealthiest and the broader population, the bank added. <\/p>\n
