ZURICH, June 8 (Reuters) – Swiss pharmaceutical giant Roche has entered an exclusive licensing \u200cand collaboration agreement with Nurix Therapeutics \u200cof up to $2.3 billion, the company said on Monday. <\/p>\n
\u2022 \u200bThe deal focuses on blood cancer drug bexobrutideg, which degrades targeted proteins and is planned to enter a phase III clinical trial \u200cinitiation for chronic \u2060lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) in the summer <\/p>\n
\u2022 Nurix will receive $700 million upfront, with \u2060possible payouts for development, regulatory and sales milestones <\/p>\n
\u2022 “We believe bexobrutideg could represent a major \u200bleap forward \u200bin the fight \u200bagainst complex blood cancers \u200cand other diseases,” Levi Garraway, Roche chief medical officer and head of global product development said <\/p>\n
\u2022 The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026 <\/p>\n
\u2022 \u200cDevelopment costs for the drug \u200bwill be covered 60% \u200bby Roche \u200band 40% by Nurix <\/p>\n
