National Weather Service estimates 100 mph winds during Walworth Co. storm<\/p>\n

NWS says downburst winds during Friday storms destroyed barns and snapped hundreds of trees at the trunk. <\/p>\n

The National Weather Service says storm damage in Walworth County was from downburst winds and not a tornado. <\/p>\n

NWS estimates peak winds of 90 to 100 miles per hour during the storm Friday that caused damage south of Darien, through Lake Delavan to Como. <\/p>\n

The strong winds destroyed or heavily damaged up to 10 barns. The storm uprooted or snapped hundreds of trees at the trunk. <\/p>\n

NWS says two people were injured at Delavan Lake when three 20-foot by 90-foot empty silos collapsed and fell on motorcyclists who were seeking shelter from the storm.<\/p>\n

The weather service says three people drowned in a capsized boat on Geneva Lake from the winds. WISN 12 News learned the three victims on Geneva Lake <\/a>were all children. <\/p>\n
