Larry Goodknight, a 1966 graduate of Iowa Falls High School, has been selected for induction into the Army’s Infantry Officer Candidate School Hall of Fame.

The 2026 U.S. Army Officer Candidate School (OCS) Hall of Fame induction ceremony was held on March 27 at Fort Benning, Georgia.

The hallowed corridors of the National Infantry Museum house the world-renowned U.S. Army Officer Candidate School Hall of Fame, established to honor OCS graduates who have excelled in military or civilian careers and brought great credit to the OCS program. Medal of Honor recipients and General Officers receive automatic induction, while other distinguished candidates are selected based on exceptional service.

Such luminaries as William F. Buckley, General Tommy Franks, U.S. Senator Robert Dole, and Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger have preceded the most recent inductees. Included in this most recent class is the Secretary of the Army Daniel Driscoll.

Induction into the OCS Hall of Fame is one of the highest honors an Army officer can receive. It reflects a career defined by exceptional leadership, integrity, and service to the nation — recognition reserved for only a select few.
