Ve skute\u010dnosti vzniklo takhle rychl\u00e9 auto mnohem d\u0159\u00edve v z\u00e1mo\u0159\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>V 80. letech se v\u00fdrobci supersport\u016f p\u0159edh\u00e1n\u011bli v tom, kter\u00fd z nov\u011b uveden\u00fdch model\u016f dos\u00e1hne vy\u0161\u0161\u00ed maxim\u00e1ln\u00ed rychlosti. Co naplat, \u017ee to byla v podstat\u011b jen teorie. V\u017edy\u0165 i maxim\u00e1ln\u00ed rychlost t\u0159eba 280 km\/h je natolik velk\u00e1, \u017ee vyzkou\u0161et ji v b\u011b\u017en\u00e9m provozu lze leg\u00e1ln\u011b pouze na n\u011bkter\u00fdch \u00fasec\u00edch v N\u011bmecku.<\/p>\n<p>Ve skute\u010dnosti ale ne\u0161lo o to, aby majitel takovou rychlost\u00ed jezdil. Smyslem byla presti\u017e. Porsche 959 jelo u\u017e v polovin\u011b 80. let rychlost\u00ed 317 km\/h. Velmi z\u00e1hy jej v\u0161ak p\u0159ekonalo Ferrari F40 s nejvy\u0161\u0161\u00ed rychlost\u00ed 324 km\/h. Devades\u00e1t\u00e1 l\u00e9ta p\u0159inesla maxim\u00e1lku kolem 350 km\/h (Jaguar XJ220 a Bugatti EB 110) a\u017e 375 km\/h (britsk\u00fd McLaren F1), kter\u00fd p\u0159ekonalo a\u017e zm\u00edn\u011bn\u00e9 Bugatti Veyron. Ferrari F50 jelo trochu p\u0159ekvapiv\u011b \u201ejen\u201c 325 km\/h, tedy o kilometr za hodinu rychleji ne\u017e p\u0159edchoz\u00ed F40.<\/p>\n<p>Vette C4 z\u00e1kladem<\/p>\n<p>To se ale st\u00e1le bav\u00edme o Evrop\u011b. Sportovn\u00ed vozy se v\u0161ak sna\u017eili vyr\u00e1b\u011bt tak\u00e9 Ameri\u010dan\u00e9. Jen\u017ee k vytvo\u0159en\u00ed supersportu jim st\u00e1le chyb\u011bl vysp\u011blej\u0161\u00ed technick\u00fd z\u00e1klad. V\u017edy\u0165 to nejsportovn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed auto, Corvette C3, vyr\u00e1b\u011bn\u00e9 je\u0161t\u011b v roce 1982, m\u011blo st\u00e1le z\u00e1klad v modelu z roku 1968. A tedy notn\u011b zastaral\u00fd. Z\u00e1sadn\u00ed zm\u011bna p\u0159i\u0161la v roce 1984 se zcela novou corvette. Z americk\u00e9 legendy se r\u00e1zem stal v\u016fz, kter\u00fd svou sofistikovanost\u00ed p\u0159ipom\u00ednal nejlep\u0161\u00ed evropsk\u00e1 sportovn\u00ed auta zna\u010dek Porsche a Ferrari. A p\u0159\u00edmo tak vyb\u00edzel k dal\u0161\u00edm modifikac\u00edm.<\/p>\n<p>Za tou mo\u017en\u00e1 nejzaj\u00edmav\u011bj\u0161\u00ed stoj\u00ed zn\u00e1m\u00fd americk\u00fd ladi\u010d americk\u00fdch voz\u016f Reeves Callaway. Jeho uk\u00e1zka toho, co v\u0161echno Corvette C4 zvl\u00e1dne, se jmenovala Sledgehammer, co\u017e je v p\u0159ekladu \u017eelezn\u00e1 palice. O 17 let pozd\u011bji dos\u00e1hlo slavn\u00e9 Bugatti Veyron stejn\u00e9 nejvy\u0161\u0161\u00ed rychlosti. Aby toho nebylo m\u00e1lo, tak t\u00fdm Callaway ujel se Sledgehammerem 1127 km z Connecticutu do Ohia ve snaze zlomit st\u00e1vaj\u00edc\u00ed rekord.<\/p>\n<p>Sledgehammer mo\u017en\u00e1 p\u0159inesl j\u00edzdn\u00ed v\u00fdkony dragster\u016f na ve\u0159ejn\u00e9 silnice, av\u0161ak st\u00e1le se jednalo o Corvette C4. V\u016fz tak m\u011bl tov\u00e1rn\u011b velmi bohat\u011b vybaven\u00fd interi\u00e9r s ko\u017een\u00fdmi elektricky nastaviteln\u00fdmi sedadly, kvalitn\u00ed origin\u00e1ln\u00ed kazetov\u00e9 audio Delco Bose a samoz\u0159ejm\u011b automatickou klimatizaci.<\/p>\n<p>Sledgehammer Corvette tak bylo auto dvou tv\u00e1\u0159\u00ed. Nekompromisn\u00ed supersport, kter\u00fd jste mohli vz\u00edt i na z\u00e1vodn\u00ed dr\u00e1hu, z\u00e1rove\u0148 ale auto, s n\u00edm\u017e mohla va\u0161e man\u017eelka jezdit pro potraviny do supermarketu.<\/p>\n<p>Se suchou sk\u0159\u00edn\u00ed<\/p>\n<p>Zdrojem dodnes vynikaj\u00edc\u00edch j\u00edzdn\u00edch v\u00fdkon\u016f byl standardn\u00ed osmiv\u00e1lec \u201esmall block\u201c o objemu 5,7 litru, kter\u00fd ov\u0161em in\u017een\u00fd\u0159i Callawaye v\u00fdrazn\u011b modifikovali. Klikov\u00e1 h\u0159\u00eddel poch\u00e1zela od britsk\u00e9 firmy Cosworth, kovan\u00e9 p\u00edsty dodal n\u011bmeck\u00fd Mahle a maz\u00e1n\u00ed motoru technici kompletn\u011b p\u0159ed\u011blali, tak\u017ee nov\u011b bylo se suchou klikovou sk\u0159\u00edn\u00ed. D\u016fvodem byly velmi vysok\u00e9 odst\u0159ediv\u00e9 s\u00edly p\u0159i j\u00edzd\u011b v zat\u00e1\u010dce, co\u017e by p\u0159i konven\u010dn\u00edm maz\u00e1n\u00ed zp\u016fsobovalo odl\u00e9v\u00e1n\u00ed oleje ve spodn\u00edm v\u00edku (van\u011b) motoru.<\/p>\n<p>Motor dostal dv\u011b velk\u00e1 turbodmychadla Turbonetics T04B. I d\u00edky nim se motor mohl pochlubit nejvy\u0161\u0161\u00edm v\u00fdkonem 898 kon\u00ed (660 kW) a maxim\u00e1ln\u00edm to\u010div\u00fdm momentem 1046,69 N.m. Bylo to v dob\u011b, kdy tov\u00e1rn\u00ed corvette nab\u00edzela maxim\u00e1ln\u00ed v\u00fdkon motoru 240 kon\u00ed (176 kW). Zaj\u00edmav\u00e9 je, \u017ee se takhle rychl\u00e9 auto obe\u0161lo bez mohutn\u00e9ho zadn\u00edho k\u0159\u00eddla, kter\u00e9 bylo b\u011b\u017en\u00e9 u vzpom\u00ednan\u00fdch (a mnohem pomalej\u0161\u00edch) voz\u016f Porsche 959 i Ferrari F40.<\/p>\n<p>Pneumatiky za milion<\/p>\n<p>Velmi zaj\u00edmav\u00e9 to bylo s pneumatikami. Za t\u00edmto \u00fa\u010delem oslovil Callaway firmu Goodyear s \u017e\u00e1dost\u00ed o pneumatiky, kter\u00e9 by vypadaly jako standardn\u00ed Goodyear Eagles, ale z\u00e1rove\u0148 by byly schopn\u00e9 auto bezpe\u010dn\u011b v\u00e9st a\u017e do rychlosti 480 km\/h. Americk\u00fd v\u00fdrobce pneumatik souhlasil. V\u00fdvoj t\u011bchto speci\u00e1ln\u00edch pneumatik jej v\u0161ak vy\u0161el \u00fadajn\u011b na milion dolar\u016f. V roce 1988 \u0161lo o ekvivalent dne\u0161n\u00ed \u010d\u00e1stky 2,76 milionu dolar\u016f. Pneumatiky byly vyvinuty pro rekordn\u00ed j\u00edzdu Sledgehammeru. Po jejich \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u00e9m absolvov\u00e1n\u00ed si speci\u00e1ln\u00ed a z\u00e1rove\u0148 velmi drah\u00e9 vzal zp\u011bt.<\/p>\n<p>Produk\u010dn\u00ed Callawaye Sledgehammery Corvette tak byly z\u00e1kazn\u00edk\u016fm dod\u00e1v\u00e1ny s \u201eb\u011b\u017en\u00fdmi\u201c pneumatikami firmy Goodyear. To ale tak\u00e9 znamen\u00e1, \u017ee nebyly kompatibiln\u00ed s proklamovanou nejvy\u0161\u0161\u00ed rychlost\u00ed vozu. Ve skute\u010dnosti se ale jednalo sp\u00ed\u0161e o takov\u00fd v\u00fdk\u0159ik do tmy, bez re\u00e1ln\u00e9ho vyu\u017eit\u00ed.
