V\u0161echno ale za\u010dalo je\u0161t\u011b o\u00a0n\u011bco d\u0159\u00edv, konkr\u00e9tn\u011b v\u00a0\u010dervenci 1951, kdy\u017e testovac\u00ed jezdec Ichiro Taira dok\u00e1zal s\u00a0p\u016fvodn\u00ed Toyotou BJ (tehdy \u0161lo v\u00a0podstat\u011b o\u00a0japonskou verzi klasick\u00e9ho Willysu s\u00a0\u0159adov\u00fdm \u0161estiv\u00e1lcem) vy\u0161plhat a\u017e k\u00a0\u0161est\u00e9mu checkpointu hory Fud\u017ei v\u00a0Japonsku, \u010d\u00edm\u017e dal sv\u011btu p\u0159elomov\u00fd moment. Cesta do v\u00fd\u0161ky 2390\u00a0metr\u016f nad mo\u0159em byla toti\u017e do t\u00e9 doby sj\u00edzdn\u00e1 pouze na koni, ale \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u00fdm v\u00fdjezdem si pr\u00e1v\u011b model BJ z\u00edskal pozornost nejen ve\u0159ejnosti, ale tak\u00e9 japonsk\u00e9 policie a\u00a0obrann\u00fdch sil, co\u017e n\u00e1sledn\u011b vedlo k\u00a0s\u00e9riov\u00e9 v\u00fdrob\u011b vozidla pod pozd\u011bj\u0161\u00edm n\u00e1zvem <a data-dot=\"atm-link\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.garaz.cz\/tag\/toyota-land-cruiser-754\" class=\"b_X\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Land Cruiser<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" height=\"960\"   width=\"1440\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Toyota-Land-Cruiser.jpeg\" loading=\"eager\" decoding=\"sync\" class=\"b_D b_B\"\/>Foto: Hagerty<\/p>\n<p class=\"b_bM\">Nejobl\u00edben\u011bj\u0161\u00ed generac\u00ed Land Cruiseru je FJ40 (1960-84).<\/p>\n<p class=\"b_bM\">FJ Cruiser na tuto ud\u00e1lost\u00a0\u2013 a\u00a0hlavn\u011b pak des\u00edtky let prov\u011b\u0159en\u00ed v\u00a0nejdrsn\u011bj\u0161\u00edch podm\u00ednk\u00e1ch na\u0161\u00ed pestr\u00e9 planety\u00a0\u2013 navazuje hlavn\u011b ve dvou oblastech: designem p\u0159ipom\u00ednaj\u00edc\u00edm FJ40\u00a0a\u00a0takt\u00e9\u017e nezpochybniteln\u00fdmi schopnostmi. S\u00a0koncem v\u00fdroby p\u016fvodn\u00edho FJ40\u00a0v\u00a0roce 1984\u00a0za\u010dala Toyota p\u0159esouvat \u0159adu Land Cruiser sm\u011brem k\u00a0luxusu a\u00a0v\u011bt\u0161\u00edm rozm\u011br\u016fm, co\u017e zanech\u00e1valo na trhu ur\u010dit\u00fd prostor pro men\u0161\u00ed, drsn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed auto. Toho si v\u00a0polovin\u011b 90.\u00a0let v\u0161imli dva p\u00e1nov\u00e9: produktov\u00fd pl\u00e1nova\u010d Dave Danzer a\u00a0Yoshi Inaba, kter\u00fd v\u00a0korporaci pracoval jako viceprezident prodeje. Prvn\u00ed jmenovan\u00fd pot\u00e9 za\u010dal na projektu tajn\u011b pracovat se samotn\u00fdm \u0161\u00e9fem automobilky, Akio Toyodou. Pl\u00e1nem bylo vytvo\u0159en\u00ed speci\u00e1ln\u00ed montovny p\u0159\u00edmo v\u00a0USA, kter\u00e9 u\u017e d\u00e1vno byly pro japonskou zna\u010dku velmi d\u016fle\u017eit\u00fdm trhem, co\u017e plat\u00ed dodnes. Toyota je ostatn\u011b mezi americk\u00fdmi zna\u010dkami jedin\u00e1, co se dr\u017e\u00ed v\u00a0n\u011bkolika s\u00e9ri\u00edch NASCAR, od hlavn\u00ed a\u017e po spr\u00e1vnou redneck z\u00e1bavu v\u00a0podob\u011b Craftsman Truck Series, kde se z\u00e1vod\u00ed s\u00a0pick-upy a\u00a0je to hodn\u011b kontaktn\u00ed a\u00a0agresivn\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"b_bM\">Pl\u00e1ny na nov\u00fd FJ nakonec \u0161\u00e9f spole\u010dnosti protla\u010dil a\u017e v\u00a0domovsk\u00e9m Japonsku, kde od spr\u00e1vn\u00ed rady z\u00edskal pro projekt vysokou \u00farove\u0148 podpory. C\u00edlem bylo vytvo\u0159it off-roadov\u00e9 vozidlo, zvan\u00e9 intern\u011b RYU (Rugged Youth Utility, tedy drsn\u00e9 u\u017eitkov\u00e9 auto pro mlad\u00e9), j\u00edm\u017e zna\u010dka cht\u011bla zaujmout z\u00e1stupce mlad\u0161\u00edch generac\u00ed, kte\u0159\u00ed j\u00ed tehdy trochu unikali. \u010cerstvou interpretaci FJ40\u00a0m\u011blo stvo\u0159it dvorn\u00ed designov\u00e9 studio Toyoty zvan\u00e9 Calty, kter\u00e9 se dalo do pr\u00e1ce a\u00a0p\u0159ipravilo r\u016fzn\u00e9 n\u00e1vrhy. Nej\u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u011bj\u0161\u00ed z\u00a0nich byl tehdy 24let\u00fd Jin Won Kim, kter\u00fd stvo\u0159il fin\u00e1ln\u00ed exteri\u00e9r konceptu, interi\u00e9r navrhl zase William Chergosky.<\/p>\n<p><img height=\"943\"   width=\"1280\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/toyota-fj-cruiser.jpeg\" loading=\"eager\" decoding=\"sync\" class=\"b_D b_B\"\/>Foto: Toyota<\/p>\n<p class=\"b_bM\">Odv\u00e1\u017en\u00fd koncept se od produk\u010dn\u00edho auta kupodivu p\u0159\u00edli\u0161 neli\u0161il.<\/p>\n<p class=\"b_bM\">Koncept byl n\u00e1sledn\u011b v\u0159ele p\u0159ijat ve\u0159ejnost\u00ed p\u0159i autosalonu v\u00a0Detroitu roku 2003 (v typick\u00e9 barv\u011b Voodoo Blue) a\u00a0s n\u011bkolika \u00fapravami schv\u00e1len do v\u00fdroby. Pro mont\u00e1\u017e byla ur\u010dena pobo\u010dka Toyoty, tov\u00e1rna Hino Motors v\u00a0japonsk\u00e9 Hamu\u0159e, kde se v\u016fz montoval od roku 2006\u00a0a\u017e do roku 2022.\u00a0Jeliko\u017e Toyota pot\u0159ebovala auto, kter\u00e9 bude vypadat jako designov\u00fd experiment, ale mechanicky musel p\u0159e\u017e\u00edt konec sv\u011bta, vyu\u017eila sv\u00e9 existuj\u00edc\u00ed portfolio komponent. Zkr\u00e1cen\u00fd \u017eeb\u0159inov\u00fd r\u00e1m dodalo Prado 120, stejn\u011b jako zav\u011b\u0161en\u00ed. Brzdy byly kompletn\u011b p\u0159evzaty z\u00a0modelu 4Runner. Motor byl pou\u017e\u00edv\u00e1n pro \u0159adu dal\u0161\u00edch aut, stejn\u011b jako odoln\u00e9 p\u0159evodovky. A\u00a0tak d\u00e1le\u2026 Nespornou v\u00fdhodou bylo sn\u00ed\u017een\u00ed n\u00e1klad\u016f na v\u00fdvoj, pro z\u00e1kazn\u00edky pak plus v\u00a0podob\u011b snadn\u00e9 dostupnosti d\u00edl\u016f.<\/p>\n<p class=\"b_bM\">Vyr\u00e1b\u011blo se n\u011bkolik r\u016fzn\u00fdch verz\u00ed pohonu. Pro ur\u010dit\u00e9 trhy byla k\u00a0dispozici oby\u010dejn\u00e1 zadokolka s\u00a0p\u011btistup\u0148ov\u00fdm automatem A750E a\u00a0zadn\u00edm samosvorn\u00fdm diferenci\u00e1lem. S\u00a0rozvodovkou a\u00a0p\u0159i\u0159aditeln\u00fdm pohonem p\u0159edn\u00ed n\u00e1pravy pracoval tak\u00e9 podobn\u00fd automat. A\u00a0kone\u010dn\u011b, \u0161estistup\u0148ov\u00fd manu\u00e1l byl spojen se st\u00e1l\u00fdm pohonem v\u0161ech kol a\u00a0elektronicky uzamykateln\u00fdm zadn\u00edm diferenci\u00e1lem.<\/p>\n<p><img height=\"1333\"   width=\"2000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/1775968752_849_toyota-fj-cruiser.jpeg\" loading=\"eager\" decoding=\"sync\" class=\"b_D b_B\"\/>Foto: Ond\u0159ej Kroutil<\/p>\n<p class=\"b_bM\">Abychom si FJ Cruiser po\u0159\u00e1dn\u011b u\u017eili, rozhodli jsme se mezi jiho\u010desk\u00e9 louky a\u00a0pole nevz\u00edt jen jedno, ale rovnou t\u0159i auta: od s\u00e9riov\u00e9ho s\u00a0mal\u00fdm n\u00e1jezdem, p\u0159es jedno lehce upraven\u00e9, a\u017e po jeden docela drsn\u011b nazvedan\u00fd kousek.<\/p>\n<p class=\"b_bM\">Pod kapotou se pak nekr\u010dil \u017e\u00e1dn\u00fd ud\u00fdchan\u00fd naftov\u00fd \u010dty\u0159v\u00e1lec, ale rovnou \u010dty\u0159litrov\u00fd vidlicov\u00fd \u0161estiv\u00e1lec. Benzinov\u00fd same\u0165\u00e1k 1GR-FE, ur\u010den\u00fd pro pod\u00e9lnou z\u00e1stavbu do zadokolek a\u00a0\u010dty\u0159kolek, byl pou\u017e\u00edvan\u00fd v\u00a0cel\u00e9 \u0159ad\u011b Toyot: od Hiluxu p\u0159es r\u016fzn\u00e9 Land Cruisery a\u017e po Tacomu, Tundru \u010di 4Runner. V\u00a0prvn\u00edch Cruiserech dos\u00e1hl s\u00a0pou\u017eit\u00edm prom\u011bnn\u00e9ho \u010dasov\u00e1n\u00ed sac\u00edch ventil\u016f (VVT-i) v\u00fdkonu 243\u00a0kon\u00ed a\u00a0377\u00a0Nm p\u0159i 3\u00a0700\u00a0ot\u00e1\u010dk\u00e1ch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"b_bM\">D\u016fle\u017eit\u00e9 ov\u0161em bylo, \u017ee s\u00a0rokem 2010\u00a0p\u0159i\u0161el facelift, kter\u00fd mimo jin\u00e9 p\u0159i\u0161el s\u00a0v\u00fdkonn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed verz\u00ed motoru\u00a0\u2013 d\u00edky syst\u00e9mu Dual VVT-i vzrostl v\u00fdkon \u010dty\u0159litru na 271\u00a0kon\u00ed a\u00a0377\u00a0Nm to\u010div\u00e9ho momentu, co\u017e je\u0161t\u011b zlep\u0161ilo schopnosti p\u0159i zdol\u00e1v\u00e1n\u00ed ter\u00e9nn\u00edch p\u0159ek\u00e1\u017eek. Motor je nav\u00edc vybaven speci\u00e1ln\u00edmi litinov\u00fdmi vlo\u017ekami v\u00e1lc\u016f, odlit\u00fdmi p\u0159\u00edmo do bloku motoru. Maj\u00ed ostnat\u00fd profil zlep\u0161uj\u00edc\u00ed p\u0159ilnavost mezi vlo\u017ekou a\u00a0blokem v\u00e1lc\u016f, v\u00a0p\u0159\u00edpad\u011b po\u0161kozen\u00ed st\u011bny v\u00e1lce je tak nutn\u00e9 vym\u011bnit rovnou cel\u00fd blok v\u00e1lc\u016f. Ale ruku na srdce, je to Toyota, tak\u017ee se v\u00e1s to s\u00a0nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00ed pravd\u011bpodobnost\u00ed nebude t\u00fdkat. Nav\u00edc je blok vybaven dal\u0161\u00edmi technologiemi, kter\u00e9 zlep\u0161uj\u00ed jeho tuhost a\u00a0zvy\u0161uj\u00ed \u00fa\u010dinnost chlazen\u00ed. Zkr\u00e1tka a\u00a0dob\u0159e, \u0161estiv\u00e1lec si porad\u00ed skoro se v\u0161\u00edm, co si pro n\u011bj nachyst\u00e1te\u00a0\u2013 a\u0165 u\u017e v\u00a0Arizon\u011b, nebo Kru\u0161n\u00fdch hor\u00e1ch.<\/p>\n<p><img height=\"1333\"   width=\"2000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/1775968753_34_toyota-fj-cruiser.jpeg\" loading=\"eager\" decoding=\"sync\" class=\"b_D b_B\"\/>Foto: Ond\u0159ej Kroutil<\/p>\n<p class=\"b_bM\">O pohon se staral poctiv\u00fd benzinov\u00fd \u0161estiv\u00e1lec s\u00a0v\u00fdkonem a\u017e 271\u00a0kon\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"b_bM\">A\u010dkoliv FJ Cruiser vypad\u00e1 jako showcar, mimo zpevn\u011bn\u00e9 povrchy sv\u00fdm p\u0159edk\u016fm rozhodn\u011b ostudu neud\u011bl\u00e1. J\u00e1 to sice nem\u011bl \u00fapln\u011b \u0161anci vyzkou\u0161et, nebo\u0165 krajina kolem je zaprv\u00e9 rovinat\u00e1 a\u00a0za druh\u00e9 vyschl\u00e1, ale zku\u0161enosti majitel\u016f hovo\u0159\u00ed jasn\u011b a\u00a0v\u00fdmluvn\u00fdch vide\u00ed najdete dost. Cruiser si zachov\u00e1v\u00e1 tuhost d\u00edky robustn\u00ed konstrukci karoserie na r\u00e1mu, co\u017e pom\u00e1h\u00e1 spr\u00e1vn\u00e9mu fungov\u00e1n\u00ed odpru\u017een\u00ed. Syst\u00e9m nez\u00e1visl\u00e9ho p\u0159edn\u00edho odpru\u017een\u00ed umo\u017e\u0148uje zdvih kol t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 20\u00a0cm, zat\u00edmco zadn\u00ed tuh\u00e1 n\u00e1prava se \u010dty\u0159mi rameny a\u00a0p\u0159\u00ed\u010dn\u00fdm stabiliz\u00e1torem dokonce v\u00edc ne\u017e 23\u00a0cm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"b_bM\">Zkr\u00e1tka a\u00a0dob\u0159e, na skal\u00e1ch (kter\u00e9 n\u00e1m kolem tak\u00e9 chyb\u00ed) je to par\u00e1da\u00a0\u2013 tomu ostatn\u011b napov\u00eddaj\u00ed i\u00a0n\u00e1jezdov\u00e9 \u00fahly p\u0159es 30\u00a0stup\u0148\u016f! Dopln\u00edme p\u0159ejezdov\u00fd \u00fahel 27\u00b0 a\u00a0brodivost s\u00e9riov\u00e9ho auta 700\u00a0mm a\u00a0je nad v\u0161\u00ed pochybnost, \u017ee tohle nen\u00ed \u017e\u00e1dn\u00e9 o\u0159ez\u00e1v\u00e1tko, ale po\u0159\u00e1dn\u00fd drso\u0148, co se jen tak n\u011b\u010deho nelekne. Na asfaltu mu pak pom\u00e1haj\u00ed r\u016fzn\u00e9 syst\u00e9my, od kontroly stability (VSC) a\u017e po kontrolu trakce (TRAC) a\u00a0v\u0161echno mezi t\u00edm. Ale to te\u010f nen\u00ed tak podstatn\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p class=\"b_bM\">Jdeme rad\u011bji okukovat karoserii, kter\u00e1 je zaj\u00edmav\u00e1 i\u00a0t\u00edm, \u017ee se zadn\u00ed p\u00e1r dve\u0159\u00ed otev\u00edr\u00e1 proti sm\u011bru j\u00edzdy. Zvenku tak auto vypad\u00e1 trochu jako t\u0159\u00eddve\u0159ov\u00e9, ale na zadn\u00ed sedadla se d\u00e1 celkem slu\u0161n\u011b nastoupit. Jeliko\u017e Cruiser je re\u00e1ln\u011b st\u00e1le dost mlad\u00e9 auto, uvnit\u0159 n\u00e1s krom\u011b stylov\u00e9ho designu palubn\u00ed desky \u010dekaj\u00ed i\u00a0dostate\u010dn\u011b modern\u00ed technologick\u00e9 a\u00a0komfortn\u00ed prvky. Jist\u011b ocen\u00edte klimatizaci, displej zakomponovan\u00fd do palubn\u00ed desky, slu\u0161n\u00e9 audio v\u010detn\u011b bezdr\u00e1tov\u00e9ho Bluetooth, aux \u010di USB vstupy, ale m\u011b mnohem v\u00edc bav\u00ed multifunk\u010dn\u00ed ukazatele s\u00a0plovouc\u00ed kuli\u010dkou, kde je sklonom\u011br, kompas a\u00a0ukazatel venkovn\u00ed teploty.<\/p>\n<p class=\"b_bM\">Vnit\u0159n\u00ed prostor je klasick\u00e1 Toyota z\u00a0dobr\u00e9 doby\u00a0\u2013 po faceliftu s\u00a0b\u00edl\u00fdm pozad\u00edm p\u0159\u00edstrojov\u00e9ho \u0161t\u00edtu, ale hlavn\u011b s\u00a0celou \u0159adou pevn\u00fdch tla\u010d\u00edtek pro ovl\u00e1d\u00e1n\u00ed v\u0161ech komfortn\u00edch i\u00a0funk\u010dn\u00edch prvk\u016f. Sice p\u016fsob\u00ed lehce plastov\u011b, ale to tak\u00e9 pat\u0159ilo k\u00a0\u00e9\u0159e, kdy vznikala. \u0160koda, \u017ee p\u00edskov\u00e9 auto v\u00a0typick\u00e9 barv\u011b Sandstorm (od roku 2010\u00a0pro limitku Trail Teams, pozd\u011bji standardn\u00ed barva) nem\u00e1 manu\u00e1l, ten bych si vyzkou\u0161el je\u0161t\u011b rad\u011bji ne\u017e trochu vl\u00e1\u010dn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed, ale takt\u00e9\u017e hladk\u00fd automat. V\u00a0lehk\u00e9m ter\u00e9nu, kde se pohybujeme, vynik\u00e1 s\u00e9riov\u00e9 auto citelnou pevnost\u00ed a\u00a0z\u00e1rove\u0148 p\u0159\u00edjemn\u00fdm odpru\u017een\u00edm\u00a0\u2013 nehroz\u00ed \u017e\u00e1dn\u00e9 r\u00e1zy od n\u00e1prav, tlumi\u010de s\u00a0dlouh\u00fdm zdvihem kr\u00e1sn\u011b pohlcuj\u00ed nerovnosti a\u00a0ide\u00e1ln\u011b nalad\u011bn\u00fd posilova\u010d umo\u017e\u0148uje p\u0159esnou pr\u00e1ci s\u00a0volantem.<\/p>\n<p><img height=\"1333\"   width=\"2000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/1775968753_556_toyota-fj-cruiser.jpeg\" loading=\"eager\" decoding=\"sync\" class=\"b_D b_B\"\/>Foto: Ond\u0159ej Kroutil<\/p>\n<p class=\"b_bM\">Kabina je velmi plastov\u00e1, ale vypad\u00e1 cool a\u00a0najdete v\u00a0n\u00ed spoustu modern\u00edch vychyt\u00e1vek i\u00a0\u0161ikovn\u00fdch p\u0159\u00edstroj\u016f, kter\u00e9 se v\u00a0ter\u00e9nu budou hodit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"b_bM\">Zelen\u00fd Cruiser je upraven docela decentn\u011b tak, aby zvl\u00e1dl je\u0161t\u011b v\u00edc ne\u017e s\u00e9riov\u00e9 auto.
