N\u00e1stroj vych\u00e1z\u00ed z takzvan\u00e9ho Utrecht Paleogeography Model, tedy detailn\u00edho modelu pohybu tektonick\u00fdch desek. Nov\u00e1 verze modelu je podle autor\u016f v\u00fdrazn\u011b p\u0159esn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed ne\u017e p\u0159edchoz\u00ed pokusy. V\u00fdsledkem je mnohem p\u0159esn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed mapa d\u00e1vn\u00fdch ekosyst\u00e9m\u016f.<\/p>\n<p>Model zat\u00edm sah\u00e1 320 milion\u016f let do minulosti, tedy do obdob\u00ed superkontinentu Pangea.
