The Chicago Funk pays tribute to the music of Earth, Wind & Fire.
For more than 50 years, Earth, Wind & Fire has been synonymous with groovy disco beats and packed dance floors. As runner-up of the SBS6 television program ‘The Tribute, Battle of the Bands’ in season 2, The Chicago Funk page has proven that the magic of old soul, funk & disco is still alive. During their theater tour they also got everyone dancing to the music of Earth, Wind & Fire!
The original pop group Earth, Wind & Fire is known for the high notes of Phillip Bailey, the warm sound of Maurice White and the recognizable voice of Ralph Johnson. These distinctive voices had to remain and be honored. Those voices are found in the Dutch artists David Goncalves, Clayton Peroti and Clifton End.
All hits such as ‘Boogie Wonderland’, ‘In the Stone’, ‘After the Love has Gone’ and of course world hit ‘September’ are featured. Expect various extravagant costume changes, the signature high singing notes and groovy and compelling beats. “When you close your eyes, Earth, Wind & Fire should be in front of you,” that is the premise of this 13-piece tribute band.
