Apparently, the question struck a chord: Our latest survey on the phasing out of combustion engines saw record participation. Nearly half of our online community criticized and expressed concern over the „exit from the exit,“ the EU-fixed end for the sale of combustion vehicles from 2035. To the question about the current rollback „Should the EU phase-out of combustion engines in 2035 be postponed?“ 45 percent responded „No, this will delay the transition to e-mobility and Europe will fall further behind.“ 45% (94 votes). However, nearly a third, at 30 percent, believe „Yes, definitely, the plans are unrealistic.“ Against any type of rigid regulation, a quarter also argued: „There’s no need for a fixed exit date, e-mobility will prevail on its own because fuel prices are rising.“ A total of 210 votes were cast, more than ever before.
