In Stuttgart-West gibt es bereits ein Fernwärmenetz der EnBW. Dieses möchte der Energieversorger nun verdichten. Bereits 2027 sollen die ersten Stuttgarter Neukunden ans Netz gehen.

Von 2035 an soll in Stuttgart nur noch mit erneuerbaren Energien geheizt werden. Die Umstellung ist eine Herausforderung, gerade in Bezirken wie dem Stuttgarter Westen, wo sich auf dichtem Raum viele Wohnungseigentümer miteinander arrangieren müssen und Wärmepumpen für viele keine Option sind, weil beispielsweise der Abstand zum Nachbarhaus zu gering ist.
