Nicht nur im Tierheim Stuttgart werden immer mehr kranke Tiere abgegeben. Manchen Tierhaltern fehlt wirklich das Geld für den Tierarzt, andere wollen ihren alten Hund loswerden.

Es werden zunehmend mehr alte Tiere oder Tiere ausgesetzt und abgegeben, „die seit Jahren schwer krank sind und keinerlei medizinische Versorgung erhalten haben.“ Die Sprecherin des Stuttgarter Tierheims hat dafür zwei Erklärungen: Die Menschen hätten weniger Geld oder schlicht „keinen Bock mehr“ auf ihre Tiere.
