The Chinese vehicle manufacturer Great Wall Motor (GWM) is realigning its strategy for the European market. According to the company, a comprehensive expansion is set to start in 2026, envisaging a significantly broader model range. The aim is to establish the brand, which has previously seen limited success in Europe, in the key European markets in the long term and to expand the existing structures.

Expansion of the model lineup through 2027

GWM announced that by 2027 it will bring a total of nine new models and variants to the European market. A central component of this product offensive is the introduction of the SUV line GWM Haval, which will be offered across Europe for the first time. In addition to Haval, the already known product lines GWM Ora and GWM Wey will also be supplemented with new models.

The brand is betting on diversity: The offering should cover different vehicle segments and powertrain concepts. Variants with gasoline engines, hybrid and plug-in hybrid systems as well as battery-electric drivetrains are planned. Depending on the intended use, the vehicles should be optionally equipped with front-wheel drive or the in-house Hybrid-Intelligent-All-Wheel-Drive-System (Hi4).
