For Eintracht Frankfurt<\/a>, Matchday 34 at Deutsche Bank Park against VfB Stuttgart<\/a> is about nothing less than a place in European competition.\u00a0SGE<\/a> could play in the Conference League next season and thus give the fans more magical nights on the international stage.<\/p>\n

To reach seventh place, however, the team from Hesse will need a little help, as SC Freiburg<\/a> currently have a one-point lead. <\/p>\n

Freiburg would have to drop points against RB Leipzig<\/a> for Frankfurt to overtake them. At the same time, SGE<\/a> must win their home game at Deutsche Bank Park or \u2013 if Freiburg lose \u2013 at least earn a draw. Thanks to their better goal difference (-4 to -9), Frankfurt would come out on top if the teams finish level on points.<\/p>\n

Attention is also on Augsburg, who are currently level on points and face Union Berlin. In the best-case scenario, Frankfurt should therefore match FCA\u2019s result to keep their rivals at bay. Since the team from Hesse have a better goal difference (-4 to -12), their chances of finishing ahead here are good as well.<\/p>\n

It is shaping up to be a nail-biting finale that is certainly not for the faint-hearted! \u201cWe believe in it and we will fight. Against Stuttgart too. With our fans behind us, we want to win. Then we\u2019ll see,\u201d said Nathaniel Brown ahead of the showdown.<\/p>\n

Regardless of the outcome of this year\u2019s Europa League final, Matchday 34 will decide who secures the Conference League ticket. Because even if Freiburg finish seventh, win the EL title and play in the Champions League next season, eighth place would not automatically qualify for the Conference League. Instead, the Bundesliga<\/a> would have no team in that competition next season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Statistics show that the chances of outside help are excellent: Leipzig have won 13 of 23 matches against Freiburg in all competitions, while Freiburg have won only four times.<\/p>\n

And while one eye will also be on Leipzig, the Eagles have their fate in their own hands against Stuttgart. Frankfurt also have the best memories of how to beat the Swabians: last season, Mario G\u00f6tze\u2019s goal secured a celebrated 1-0 home win. Who knows, perhaps Eintracht<\/a> fans will be chanting his name again at Deutsche Bank Park on Saturday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
