The halls were full once again: The interest in the energy transition seems unbroken. That’s how we and many exhibitors experienced the Smarter E in Munich. A total of 2,737 exhibitors from 57 countries presented their solutions for a fully renewable, intelligent, and connected energy system. The four simultaneous trade fairs \u2013 Intersolar Europe, ees Europe, Power2Drive Europe, and EMPower Europe \u2013 highlighted a central development: The energy world is no longer fragmented. Sectors are merging, interfaces are blurring, technologies are interlocking. Integration arises from coupling. Hyunyoung Kwak, Vice President of Samsung SDI, saw it the same way:<\/p>\n
\n\u00a0\u201cIt is no longer a distant goal to make renewable energies available at any time; it is increasingly becoming a reality.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Even though it is still often critically viewed: The energy transition is in full swing<\/strong><\/p>\n
Samsung SDI was recognized during the awards ceremony of The smarter E Awards. Samsung SDI received double honors \u2013 for solutions in energy storage and e-mobility. The reasons for this are obvious: The energy industry is no longer at the beginning of a transformation, it is in the midst of it. Kwak added:<\/p>\n
\n\u201cThe holistic approach of the fair \u2013 with the integration of storage, generation, digitalization, and grid solutions \u2013 exactly matches our vision of a secure and sustainable future.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
The Spanish company Toscano was also honored for its contribution to the energy transition. With the compact control unit Combi-Proo-Max, it convinced the jury. Carlos Toscano, CEO and Managing Director, summed it up:<\/p>\n
\n\u201cFor us, it’s about developing intelligent, integrated systems that enable 24\/7 provision of sustainable energy.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
It is no longer enough to generate clean energy \u2013 it is crucial to make it reliably, resiliently, and efficiently usable.
