Scooter rider crashes in Connewitz<\/p>\n
On Wolfgang-Heinze-Stra\u00dfe, not far from the Connewitzer Kreuz junction, a person fell from a scooter on Thursday afternoon and sustained minor injuries. This was reported by the Leipziger Volkszeitung.<\/p>\n
According to the report, the incident occurred at around 3.00 pm when the rider\u2019s scooter ran into the tram tracks, causing them to fall. An ambulance arrived to treat the victim, and the fire brigade was also called in to deal with the spilled fuel.<\/p>\n

Night-time fire involving an enforcement trailer: police investigating<\/p>\n
Police and the fire brigade were called out during the night to deal with a fire involving a mobile speed camera in Leipzig-Thekla. Witnesses reported a fire shortly after 3.00 am at a so-called enforcement trailer \u2013 a mobile speed camera \u2013 according to police spokeswoman Melanie Roeber. A burning tyre was discovered on one side of the trailer on Wodanstra\u00dfe. Crews from the North-East Fire Brigade extinguished the fire.<\/p>\n
The trailer\u2019s cladding and one of its tyres were damaged by the flames; the property damage is estimated at 3,000 euros. The South-East Police Station has taken over the investigation into the damage to property caused by the fire.<\/p>\n
