Er hatte die Medienkonzerne ins Kanzleramt eingeladen und zuvor kritisiert, dass diese Plattformen zunehmend die Vielfalt heimischer Serien und Filmproduktionen verdr\u00e4ngen w\u00fcrden. Anschlie\u00dfend sagte er, er nehme mit, dass alle das Ziel h\u00e4tten, den Produktionsstandort Deutschland zu st\u00e4rken. Ihm gehe es darum, in Deutschland mehr Investitionen in Filme und Serien zu erm\u00f6glichen und Talente ins Land zu holen. Die Bundesregierung werde weitere Anreize schaffen, um diese Dynamik zu verst\u00e4rken, sagte Weimer. So werde Deutschland eine Heimat f\u00fcr die kreative Wertsch\u00f6pfung und mehr Erfolgsserien und Blockbuster made in Germany. Auch der Direktor der Filmakademie Baden-W\u00fcrtemberg, Barei\u00df, hatte den Vorsto\u00df von Weimer begr\u00fc\u00dft.
