{"id":332853,"date":"2025-08-10T03:09:15","date_gmt":"2025-08-10T03:09:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/de\/332853\/"},"modified":"2025-08-10T03:09:15","modified_gmt":"2025-08-10T03:09:15","slug":"uk-parliamentary-committee-finds-current-framework-on-forced-labour-in-supply-chains-inadequate-calls-for-new-legislation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/de\/332853\/","title":{"rendered":"UK: Parliamentary Committee finds current framework on forced labour in supply chains inadequate, calls for new legislation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-block-key=\"4mbbq\">On 24 July 2025, the UK Parliament\u2019s Joint Committee on Human Rights\u00a0issued a report on <a href=\"https:\/\/publications.parliament.uk\/pa\/jt5901\/jtselect\/jtrights\/633\/report.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Forced Labour in UK Supply Chains<\/a>. The report finds that the current domestic regulatory framework is \u201cinadequate\u201d to address the issue. The Committee calls for new legislation to be introduced within one year of the report\u2019s publication.
