\n\t\t\tYvonne Adhiambo Owuor ist eine kenianische Schriftstellerin. Ihr Deb\u00fctroman Dust (Knopf, Granta) erlangte internationale Anerkennung, wurde sowohl f\u00fcr den Folio als auch f\u00fcr den FT\/Oppenheimer Emerging Voices Award nominiert und gewann den TBC Jomo Kenyatta Prize for Literature, Kenias renommiertesten Literaturpreis.<\/p>\n

Sie gewann 2003 den Caine Prize for African Writing. Ihre Kurzgeschichten sind in zahlreichen internationalen Literaturzeitschriften ver\u00f6ffentlicht worden, darunter auch McSweeney’s und Chimurenga Chronic. Gelegentlich taucht sie in die Arbeit und Lobbyarbeit f\u00fcr Kunst- und Kreativunternehmen ein, um den Ausbau der afrikanischen Kreativwirtschaft zu unterst\u00fctzen.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ihr zweiter Roman\u00a0The Dragonfly Sea, das bereits sehr gute Rezensionen bekommt, ist im M\u00e4rz 2019 erschienen. Derzeit arbeitet sie am Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin an ihrem dritten Roman mit dem Arbeitstitel The Long Decay.
