Im Vatikan sind die Kardin\u00e4le von der Au\u00dfenwelt abgeschottet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-18 leading-17\">Am Tag der Papstwahl plant Kardinal Rainer Maria Woelki, sofort seine Mutter in <a class=\"transition-colors duration-200 cursor-pointer text-inherit no-underline text-salemsfur md:hover:text-magenta md:hover:border-magenta md:focus:text-magenta border-current border-b border-solid break-words\" href=\"https:\/\/www.t-online.de\/region\/koeln\/\" data-sctrack=\"BodyAnchor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">K\u00f6ln<\/a> anzurufen. &#8222;Ich werde mich erkundigen, wie&#8217;s ihr geht&#8220;, sagte er in einem Podcast des K\u00f6lner Domradios. Seine Mutter ist 95 Jahre alt und lebt in K\u00f6ln.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-18 leading-17\">Woelki geh\u00f6rt zu den 135 Kardin\u00e4len, die ab dem 7. Mai den neuen Papst w\u00e4hlen. W\u00e4hrend des Konklaves sind sie von der Au\u00dfenwelt abgeschnitten: Handys und Internet sind verboten, was Woelki nicht st\u00f6rt. &#8222;Es ist ja nicht so, dass ich dadurch irgendeinen Schaden nehmen w\u00fcrde&#8220;, erkl\u00e4rte er. Das Handy sei f\u00fcr ihn sowieso eher ein Arbeitsinstrument.
