Raytheon UK has teamed up with Ontario-based Calian Group to support operations under the British Army’s 20-billion-pound ($2.6 billion) Collective Training Service (ACTS) program.
ACTS has leveraged industry expertise to modernize and deliver comprehensive warfighter training for 15 years, with work combining virtual and live simulations for both UK service members and coalition partners.
Calian’s role in the effort will center on bringing specialist training services while supporting overhaul initiatives through digital, synthetic, and integrated rehearsal solutions.
London said that broader activities for the program will be facilitated in various locations, with approximately 60,000 personnel expected to receive training annually.
In addition to Calia, ACTS prime contractor Raytheon is facilitating the campaign with support from Rheinmetall UK, Capita, Cervus, and Skyral, forming the so-called “Omnia Training” consortium.

Trusted Provider of Warfighter ‘Confidence’
According to Calian, Omnia Training is extending its position as a trusted collaborator for major UK Ministry of Defence training frameworks, including the legacy Project NUMIDIA, in which it provided similar practical courses to boost the skills of British soldiers for evolving battlefield scenarios.
