Bend-tech has confirmed it now holds full membership in the Department of Defence’s Defence Industry Security Program (DISP), effective 30 July 2026.
The accreditation covers all four DISP pillars: governance, personnel, physical security and information and communications technology. Membership across every pillar means Bend-tech Group can lift its security posture pillar by pillar as individual projects require, rather than starting a fresh accreditation process each time.
The milestone follows roughly two years of preparation across governance, personnel vetting, physical security and IT systems, and comes as Bend-tech continues to grow its work with Tier 1 defence primes in Western Australia and South Australia.
“DISP membership gives our defence clients a level of assurance that goes beyond the workshop floor. It is a formal signal that Bend-tech Group can be trusted with sensitive work, and it lets us respond faster when a project calls for a higher level of clearance,” Head of People & Culture at Bend-tech Group and a former Australian Defence Force member, Matt Crighton, said.
DISP membership applies at the Bend-tech Group level and is relevant across the group’s divisions, including CDEC, which delivers consultation, design, engineering and construction for mining and heavy industry, and ROX, which supplies OEM replacement parts for mining equipment.
Both divisions are positioned to draw on the accreditation when tendering for defence-adjacent and tier-one industrial work. Bend-tech must now maintain its DISP status through an Annual Security Report, with its first report due within 10 business days of the one-year anniversary of its grant date, 30 July 2027.
