Australian Missile Corporation (AMC) has formalised a partnership with one of the world’s leading providers of 3D aerospace design and simulation software, further strengthening its digital engineering capability.

Australian-owned AMC and French technology multinational Dassault Systèmes chose the stage of today’s Digital Engineering Symposium in Melbourne (Eds: Tuesday, September 1) to officially ink the partnership.

The agreement will see AMC continue to collaborate with Dassault Systèmes, as well as leverage and expand the Dassault Systèmes suite of software on its mission to rapidly design, simulate, test and manufacture complex systems in the guided weapons space.

AMC CEO Matt Gibson said the company had built its engineering capabilities around a “digital first” philosophy, recognising that the successful delivery of advanced defence capability required modern, agile and highly connected engineering practices.

“From day one, we have established AMC as a digital-first engineering organisation which has been critical in supporting our efforts to accelerate Australia’s Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) program,” Mr Gibson said.

“As a GWEO Enterprise partner, we are focused on building robust, sovereign engineering capability to support the nation’s long-term defence needs.

“Dassault Systèmes’ model-based engineering tools further enhance our ability to manage complex system and mission requirements, improve engineering discipline, and ensure traceability across the development lifecycle of the GWEO program.”
