RCM MANTIS is a system concept being developed by RCM to enable the remote execution of a complete engineering task cycle in a threat zone. It combines an RCM transport platform with a remotely operated work machine – most commonly an engineering robot based on an excavator.

In the target configuration, the operating cycle includes transporting the machine to the mission area, remotely unloading it, carrying out earthmoving or engineering work, returning the machine to the transport platform, remotely reloading it onto the platform and withdrawing from the area. The concept is intended to allow these activities to be performed without requiring an operator to be present in the immediate threat zone.

Two RCM solutions can serve as the transport platform for the MANTIS system:

RCM RAPTOR – a multifunctional transport trailer towed by a truck;
RCM TACTICAL BODY – a multifunctional body mounted directly on a truck chassis.

RCM TACTICAL BODY will make its first public appearance at MSPO 2026. The body combines the functions of a transport platform for machinery, robots and equipment with those of a tipper and a cargo bed for transporting materials. Its hydraulic tailgate-ramp system enables efficient unloading and reloading of machinery onto the platform. The solution can be controlled from an operator panel, by radio remote control or through the vehicle’s hydraulic system.

RCM MANTIS is an open concept designed for integration with various remotely operated engineering machines and technologies supplied by industrial partners. The target development configuration also envisages remote control of the transport vehicle and further automation of loading and securing the transported equipment.

The second part of the RCM DEFENCE display will feature dual-use protection and infrastructure solutions. The company will present RCM SKYWALL — a modular counter-drone and barrier protection system for infrastructure — as well as the modular protective structures RCM BASTION and RCM RAPID FORT.

RCM is developing its own design, production and integration capabilities while remaining open to cooperation with manufacturers of unmanned ground vehicles, suppliers of remote-control systems and industrial partners. MSPO will provide a venue for discussions on joint projects, technology integration, production scaling and the development of domestic and European supply chains.
