South Korean defense companies will participate in Europe’s largest defense exhibition in Poland, showcasing layered air defense solutions.
According to the defense industry on the 7th, Hanwha Aerospace, Hanwha Systems and LIG Defense & Aerospace will participate in the 34th International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO 2026), held in Kielce, Poland, from the 8th to the 11th. Hanwha Aerospace and Hanwha Systems will create an integrated 274-square-meter exhibition hall. The company plans to use the package as a basis for pursuing Poland’s third K9 execution contract (EC3). It will also showcase four Chunmoo guided-munition variants, which can be operated with different ranges and warhead types, along with MRO solutions such as the health and usage monitoring system (HUMS), which diagnoses equipment conditions in real time and predicts maintenance schedules.
In the ground unmanned systems sector, Hanwha will present the concept of a manned-unmanned teaming system (MUM-T), linking the K9A1 self-propelled howitzer, an unmanned amphibious multiple rocket launcher and the H-UGV unmanned ground vehicle through a diorama and actual equipment. At sea, it will unveil Stryker-S, which combines an unmanned surface vessel (USV) with a Chunmoo launcher, targeting maritime modernization projects in the Baltic states.
Hanwha Systems will hold an AI solution launch event at the exhibition site on the 9th, where it will demonstrate how AI analyzes imagery captured by satellites currently in operation in real time. The solution analyzes imagery from three types of satellites—electro-optical (EO), infrared (IR) and synthetic aperture radar (SAR)—to perform automatic object detection, situational pattern analysis and anomaly detection.

LIG Defense & Aerospace has identified Poland’s layered air defense program and the Korean GPS-guided bomb (KGGB) program as key strategic priorities. The company plans to display integrated air defense solutions, including Cheongung-II, L-SAM and KGGB, along with proven air-launched weapons.
