{"id":417,"date":"2026-06-22T07:18:25","date_gmt":"2026-06-22T07:18:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/defence\/417\/"},"modified":"2026-06-22T07:18:25","modified_gmt":"2026-06-22T07:18:25","slug":"anduril-in-talks-with-israeli-officials-to-establish-local-defense-tech-hub","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/defence\/417\/","title":{"rendered":"Anduril in talks with Israeli officials to establish local defense-tech hub"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Innovative US military technology company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/defense-and-tech\/article-899781\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Anduril Industries,<\/a> which raised money recently at a $61 billion valuation, is currently meeting with a number of senior officials in Israel to establish a local operation that will deal with sales to the Ministry of Defense and R&amp;D for its global products, &#8220;Globes&#8221; has learned. At this stage, the US company, managed by serial entrepreneur Palmer Luckey, is operating cautiously, conducting market research and examining various ways to establish the operation and whether to do so through acquisitions or organically.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Several candidates have been shortlisted to manage the company&#8217;s operations in Israel \u2014 security forces veterans \u2014 and Anduril is in the final stages of finalizing the appointment of one of them to the position.<\/p>\n<p>YItz (Yitzhak) Applbaum, chairman of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/defense-and-tech\/article-875004\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Kinetica<\/a> defense-tech fund, who knows several of the company&#8217;s senior executives says, &#8220;Anduril conducts market research in various countries \u2014 they enter the markets carefully and thoroughly. This is a company that was built outside the box \u2014 organically and through acquisitions and they understand that they can grow in Israel in any of these ways.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Anduril was founded as a company to develop a command and control system for the US-Mexico border and later expanded to all security products \u2014 including drones, interceptors, cruise missiles, UAVs and even fighter jets. After the successful IPO of SpaceX, Anduril also plans an IPO and international expansion will serve this aim well. After receiving a valuation of $61 billion, the company is building on an IPO at a valuation of hundreds of billions of dollars.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Anduril has yet to acquire a large company outside the US, apart from a startup in the field of edge computing and tactical communications in Ireland. In November, Anduril and UAE-based EDGE Group launched a joint venture to manufacture tail-sitting vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) drones with a hybrid-electric propulsion system dubbed Omen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">The partnership is designed to accelerate the development and production of advanced unmanned platforms for military and civilian applications and will see the creation of a dedicated facility in the UAE to handle manufacturing, sales, and long-term support for global projects.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">The vast majority of its acquisitions have been made in the US, for amounts that have never been disclosed: Palmer acquired a company in the field of satellite intelligence; a radar manufacturer; a drone and autonomous aircraft company; a manufacturer of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs); infrared sensors and a manufacturer of rocket engines and solid fuel.<\/p>\n<p>The company&#8217;s list of investors is long and includes over 200 venture capital funds and private investors, the main ones being: Andreessen Horowitz \u2014 one of the main shareholders of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/business-and-innovation\/article-889427\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Wiz<\/a> \u2014 General Catalyst and Altimeter Capital.<\/p>\n<p>Jerusalem Post Staff contributed to this report<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Innovative US military technology company Anduril Industries, which raised money recently at a $61 billion valuation, is currently&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":418,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[2],"tags":[14,116,212,23,169],"class_list":["post-417","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-news","tag-defence-industry","tag-defense-industry","tag-defense-tech","tag-drone","tag-innovation"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/defence\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/417","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/defence\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/defence\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/defence\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/defence\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=417"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/defence\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/417\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/defence\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/418"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/defence\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=417"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/defence\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=417"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/defence\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=417"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
