{"id":5164,"date":"2026-07-30T01:36:10","date_gmt":"2026-07-30T01:36:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/defence\/5164\/"},"modified":"2026-07-30T01:36:10","modified_gmt":"2026-07-30T01:36:10","slug":"defense-technology-company-esc-baz-presents-innovations-to-security-officials","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/defence\/5164\/","title":{"rendered":"Defense technology company ESC BAZ presents innovations to security officials"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Electronics manufacturer ESC BAZ recently presented what it described as a series of groundbreaking capabilities for border protection and the defense of strategic facilities to senior <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/article-903962\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">IDF<\/a> officers and top officials in Israel&#8217;s defense establishment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The systems and technological innovations were developed based on the lessons of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/politics-and-diplomacy\/article-903928\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">October 7<\/a> and conclusions drawn from three years of fighting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">The first system, called &#8220;Achiza Namuch&#8221; (&#8220;Low Grip&#8221;), was demonstrated in the field. It was developed jointly by ESC BAZ and the Defense Ministry&#8217;s Directorate of Defense Research and Development (DDR&amp;D), under the leadership of Danny Gold, who dedicated significant resources to strengthening Israel&#8217;s border defenses.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">The system has already been deployed along Israel&#8217;s borders and is in operational service with the IDF&#8217;s regional commands. (credit: IDF SPOKESPERSON&#8217;S UNIT)<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">A defense official emphasized that the system represents a global technological breakthrough, particularly because of the image clarity it maintains during nighttime operations.<\/p>\n<p>ESC BAZ countering &#8216;disappearing enemy&#8217; with new system<\/p>\n<p>The Guard Sense system combines SIGINT (signals intelligence) capabilities, enabling it to detect radiation-emitting devices such as cellular phones, smartwatches, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/tags\/radio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">radios<\/a>, and other electronic equipment, with surveillance capabilities covering an exceptionally wide operational area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">The system is designed to counter what has been defined as the &#8220;disappearing enemy,&#8221; operating in dense vegetation or built-up areas. It can identify suspicious movements and recurring patterns even during routine activity, classify them using multiple layers of information, and track suspicious individuals or vehicles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">The system will provide operators in both fixed and mobile observation command centers, the latter demonstrated publicly for the first time at a site near one of Israel&#8217;s borders, with intelligence layers that have not previously been available in a conventional observation center.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Another ESC BAZ system, which has already been installed on Namer armored personnel carriers and Merkava tanks, and is expected to be integrated into future protected IDF vehicles, will allow soldiers to remain inside their vehicles while maintaining a full 360-degree view of their surroundings, including the detection of aerial threats such as drones.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Using artificial intelligence, the system can also warn troops of terrorists approaching the vehicle with the intent of attacking the force, including through the use of explosive devices.<\/p>\n<p>Aviv-SR system allows observation of targets several km. away<\/p>\n<p>The fourth system, &#8220;Aviv-SR,&#8221; was presented on Tuesday to the commander of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/article-904018\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">IDF<\/a>&#8216;s 96th Division, Brig.-Gen. Oren Simha, and Southern Command Chief of Staff Brig.-Gen.
