{"id":6573,"date":"2026-08-13T13:09:14","date_gmt":"2026-08-13T13:09:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/defence\/6573\/"},"modified":"2026-08-13T13:09:14","modified_gmt":"2026-08-13T13:09:14","slug":"calian-joins-raytheon-in-massive-british-army-training-upgrade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/defence\/6573\/","title":{"rendered":"Calian Joins Raytheon in Massive British Army Training Upgrade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/dronefront.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">&#13;<br \/>\n    <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/defence\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/WhatsAppVideo2026-05-15at09.23.58.gif\" alt=\"The Drone Front\" width=\"1280\" height=\"539\"\/>&#13;<br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Raytheon UK has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/posts\/calian_globaldefence-militarytraining-nato-activity-7493018038938714112-aAlB?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=member_desktop&amp;rcm=ACoAACEHeU8BA7s3Zf7ijcKn7gErYlzOcebxbOk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">teamed up<\/a> with Ontario-based Calian Group to support operations under the British Army\u2019s 20-billion-pound ($2.6 billion) Collective Training Service (ACTS) program.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/thedefensepost.com\/2026\/07\/13\/uk-training-overhaul-omnia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">ACTS<\/a> has leveraged industry expertise to modernize and deliver comprehensive warfighter training for 15 years, with work combining virtual and live simulations for both UK service members and coalition partners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Calian\u2019s role in the effort will center on bringing specialist training services while supporting overhaul initiatives through digital, synthetic, and integrated rehearsal solutions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">London said that broader activities for the program will be facilitated in various locations, with approximately 60,000 personnel expected to receive training annually.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to Calia, ACTS prime contractor Raytheon is facilitating the campaign with support from Rheinmetall UK, Capita, Cervus, and Skyral, forming the so-called \u201cOmnia Training\u201d consortium.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOmnia Training brings together world-class organizations with proven expertise in military training and simulation,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/resources.calian.com\/news-media\/calian-uk-secures-cad296-million-15-year-british-army-training-agreement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">said<\/a> James Gray, CEO and managing director at Raytheon UK.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOur UK-based team of innovators, engineers and experts will give soldiers and commanders a new level of training realism and set an example for effective collaboration between the army and industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trusted Provider of Warfighter \u2018Confidence\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Calian, Omnia Training is extending its position as a trusted collaborator for major UK Ministry of Defence training frameworks, including the legacy <a href=\"https:\/\/procureco.uk\/contracts\/project-numidian\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Project NUMIDIA<\/a>, in which it provided similar practical courses to boost the skills of British soldiers for evolving battlefield scenarios.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMilitary readiness begins long before a mission starts;
