American Rheinmetall has secured its first contract from Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace for work at the company\u2019s Michigan operations, expanding its role in the U.S. Marine Corps\u2019 ACV-30 supply chain. The approximately $710,000 award covers machined components for the MCT-30 medium-caliber turret, with deliveries planned throughout 2026 and 2027.<\/p>\n
The components will support the turret installed on the ACV-30, the infantry fighting vehicle variant of the Marine Corps\u2019 Amphibious Combat Vehicle. American Rheinmetall said the work would contribute to the service\u2019s operational readiness and mission flexibility.<\/p>\n
Production will be divided between the company\u2019s facilities in Lapeer and Lansing, Michigan. American Rheinmetall will carry out the work as a subcontractor to Kongsberg.<\/p>\n
The agreement broadens the relationship between the two companies beyond their existing collaboration at American Rheinmetall\u2019s Maine facility, which supports the CROWS program. It also adds a new customer to the company\u2019s Michigan operations and further diversifies its U.S. manufacturing business.<\/p>\n

The award gives American Rheinmetall\u2019s Michigan sites a direct role in MCT-30 turret production for a major Marine Corps modernization program.
