Ukraine\u2019s Ministry of Defence approved 1,526 new weapons and military equipment models for supply to the Defence Forces of Ukraine during the first eight months of 2026. Nearly 91% were made by Ukrainian industry.<\/p>\n
That compared with 983 models approved during the same period in 2025, when domestically produced equipment accounted for 86% of the total. High-technology weapons and equipment formed the largest category of approvals this year.<\/p>\n
Unmanned aerial systems led the list, with the ministry clearing 565 Ukrainian-made models. These included long-range deep-strike systems, medium-strike platforms and high-speed interceptor drones.<\/p>\n
The ministry also approved 256 ammunition variants and 139 communications systems. A further 64 electronic-warfare and signals-and-electronic-intelligence systems were authorised for supply.<\/p>\n
Ground systems included 86 unmanned vehicles and 52 vehicles for other purposes. The approvals also covered 48 armoured and special-purpose armoured vehicles and 37 optical-equipment models.<\/p>\n
Non-lethal equipment formed another part of the procurement pipeline. The ministry cleared 26 rear-support systems, 21 training systems, 19 engineering and demining systems, 10 maintenance-equipment models and three types of radiological, chemical and biological protection equipment.<\/p>\n
The ministry said the equipment met the requirements of modern high-intensity warfare. It identified giving Ukrainian forces a technological advantage over opposing forces as a central procurement priority.<\/p>\n
A previously approved system was the Ukrainian-made INGUAR-4 armoured recovery vehicle.
