Thales said the platform was supporting allied deterrence in the region through its participation in Operation Atlantic City.<\/p>\n<p>The operation forms part of Arctic Sentry, NATO\u2019s enhanced Vigilance Activity for the High North of Europe. StrikeMaster was deployed alongside forces from the US, UK and Norway during the activity.<\/p>\n<p>Developed by Thales Australia and Kongsberg Australia, StrikeMaster combines the Bushmaster protected mobility vehicle with Kongsberg\u2019s in-service Naval Strike Missile. The configuration provides a mobile, land-based capability for striking maritime targets.<\/p>\n<p>The platform is designed for rapid deployment in remote and contested environments. Thales said its use on the volcanic island demonstrated that the system offers a \u201cready now\u201d capability.<\/p>\n<p>StrikeMaster was built in Australia through the partnership between the two companies.
