RTX\u2019s Pratt & Whitney is investing $25 million, equivalent to PLN 95 million, to expand its manufacturing facility in Niepo\u0142omice, Poland. The site produces complex tubular assemblies for several engines, including the F135 that powers every variant of the F-35 Lightning II fighter.<\/p>\n
The expanded plant is expected to become operational in 2028 and create more than 120 jobs. Pratt & Whitney said the additional capacity would help meet growing demand for military and commercial aircraft engines.<\/p>\n
Alongside the F135, the Niepo\u0142omice facility supplies precision components for the GTF engine used by commercial passenger aircraft and the PW800 engine for business jets. The investment therefore adds capacity across a plant serving both defence and civil aerospace programmes.<\/p>\n

\u201cGrowing this team will increase our ability to meet global demand for advanced aircraft engines,\u201d Stopa said. The Polish government is supporting the project through the Polish Investment Zone Programme.<\/p>\n
The Niepo\u0142omice expansion follows a separate $100 million investment in Pratt & Whitney\u2019s facilities in Rzeszow, Poland. That project is increasing capacity and adding advanced capabilities for processing isothermally forged components used in the GTF, F135 and F100 engines.<\/p>\n
The two projects bring Pratt & Whitney\u2019s announced investment in Polish facilities this year to $125 million. They expand the country\u2019s role in producing components for the F-35\u2019s F135 powerplant and other Pratt & Whitney engine programmes.<\/p>\n
Poland is RTX\u2019s largest investment and employee base outside the United States, with more than 9,500 people working across Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney and Raytheon.
