{"id":9061,"date":"2026-09-04T16:27:06","date_gmt":"2026-09-04T16:27:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/defence\/9061\/"},"modified":"2026-09-04T16:27:06","modified_gmt":"2026-09-04T16:27:06","slug":"ukraine-retains-critical-status-for-86-of-defence-firms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/defence\/9061\/","title":{"rendered":"Ukraine retains critical status for 86% of defence firms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/images.cnscdn.com\/4\/1\/0\/1\/4101cffd3ae566734433bf954400efa3\/original.jpg\" class=\"top_img_loader\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/defence\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/1788539226_749_300x173.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"173\" alt=\"Ukraine retains critical status for 86% of defence firms\"\/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p data-end=\"163\">The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has completed its review of decisions designating defence-industrial complex (DIC) enterprises as critically important.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"363\">The ministry <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/mod.gov.ua\/news\/minoborony-zavershylo-perehliad-krytychnosti-pidpryiemstv-opk-86-pidtverdyly-status\" target=\"_new\" data-start=\"178\" data-end=\"297\">reported<\/a> this, according to <a title=\"censor net\" href=\"https:\/\/censor.net\/en\" data-end=\"362\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Censor.NET<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"related-news\">More news on the <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/censor_net\" target=\"_blank\">Censor.NET Telegram channel<\/a><\/p>\n<p>As noted, as of 1 September 2026, 86% of the <a href=\"https:\/\/censor.net\/en\/tag\/8123\/defence-industrial-complex\" data-end=\"517\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">DIC<\/a> enterprises subject to the review had confirmed their status as critically important.<\/p>\n<p> Simplified confirmation of critical status <\/p>\n<p data-end=\"895\">The review concerned decisions designating enterprises as critically important that had been adopted before 7 July 2026. A simplified procedure applied to most enterprises, meaning they did not have to resubmit a complete package of documents.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"943\">In particular, the procedure was available to:<\/p>\n<p>  contractors and subcontractors under defence contracts whose defence-related activities account for more than 50% of their total production output; Defence City residents; certain manufacturers of explosives and ammunition; enterprises in the defence-industrial complex, aircraft manufacturing and space sectors that had previously obtained the status based on a combination of criteria.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"related-news\">Read more: <a href=\"https:\/\/censor.net\/en\/news\/4020510\/private-companies-lead-ukraine-s-defence-industry-supplies\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Private defence industry surpasses state sector in supply volumes<\/a><\/p>\n<p data-end=\"1846\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/censor.net\/en\/tag\/1743\/defense_ministry\" data-end=\"1639\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ministry of Defence<\/a> said that to confirm their status, these enterprises submitted documents demonstrating that they continued to meet the criterion on which the ministry had previously designated them as critically important.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"2050\">Enterprises that successfully passed the review retained their status as critically important and the right to <a href=\"https:\/\/censor.net\/en\/tag\/4466\/mobilisation-exemption\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">exempt<\/a> employees liable for military service from mobilisation in accordance with the law.<\/p>\n<p> How the remaining enterprises can confirm their status <\/p>\n<p data-end=\"2336\">Following the review, 14% of enterprises failed to confirm their status as critically important.
