The market does not stop Galli Sports Centre, about to play the basketball championship women’s A2 series. At the court of Massimo Riga here is the 30 year old Swede Johanna PrytzA player with great solidity, physicality, and basketball intelligence, Prytz is an extremely versatile profile, capable of playing multiple positions both on the perimeter and at power forward. Standing 187 cm tall, she combines athleticism, defensive ability, energy on the rebound, and offensive threat both close to the basket and from distance.
Johanna arrives in San Giovanni Valdarno after a successful international career spanning Sweden, the Czech Republic, Belgium, and Germany. After her first seasons in her homeland with KFUM Järfälla, Solna Vikings, and AIK Basket, she had her first experience outside of Sweden with DSK Basketball Nymburk, where she also played in the EuroCup Women. She subsequently played for Spirou Ladies Charleroi in Belgium and Saarlouis in Germany, before returning to Sweden with Mark Basket and then Uppsala Basket.
It was in Uppsala that Prytz found great consistency, becoming a key player for the club over the years, producing impressive stats: 13,6 points, 6,0 rebounds, 2,1 assists, and a 14,4 rating average, shooting 51,4% from two, 36,4% from three, and 82,8% from the free throw line. This is an important addition as we await further market acquisitions that will round out the roster.
